Service policy

This page sets out how engagements run in practice: what you get, what I need from you, and what happens when something goes wrong. It is deliberately specific, because most bad client relationships start with a vague one.
1. Services offered
Consulting and execution across search engine optimisation, paid search and paid social, influencer and affiliate programmes, email and lifecycle marketing, content, conversion optimisation, marketing automation, and analytics. Engagements take one of three shapes: a fixed-scope project, a monthly retainer, or advisory calls for teams that only need direction.
2. Scope
Every engagement begins with a written scope listing deliverables, timelines, and price. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it starts. Nothing gets added silently and then invoiced.
3. Communication and turnaround
- Email is the default channel, and everything decided on a call is confirmed in writing.
- Enquiries are answered within one working day, usually the same afternoon.
- Retainer clients get a scheduled monthly review, plus availability between reviews.
- I work from Mayapur, West Bengal, and with clients across time zones. Overlapping hours are agreed at the start, and work is asynchronous by default so progress never depends on us being online together.
4. Who does the work
I do. The person who builds your strategy is the person who runs it. Where specialist production is needed, such as design, video, or development, I bring in trusted contractors, and you will always know who is working on what. Contractors are bound by the same confidentiality terms.
5. Account and data ownership
Your advertising accounts, analytics properties, dashboards, and domains are set up under your own ownership and billing. I work as a granted user. If the engagement ends, you keep every account and its full history, and nothing is retained on my side that you cannot access. There is no handover fee, because there is nothing to hand over that was not already yours.
6. What I need from you
An engagement stalls without these, so they are worth stating plainly:
- Access to analytics, ad accounts, and Search Console within the first week.
- Your margin and pricing structure, so targets can be set on profit rather than guesswork.
- An honest account of what you have already tried, including what failed.
- A single named decision-maker who can approve work.
- Feedback within five working days on anything sent for review.
7. Confidentiality
Your business data, strategy, and performance figures are treated as confidential and are not shared, sold, or used in marketing without your written permission. Any case study naming you requires your explicit sign-off first.
8. Results and expectations
Paid channels typically show signal within two to four weeks, though a reliable read on profitability takes a full purchase cycle. SEO is slower: early technical wins may land in four to eight weeks, with meaningful compounding growth on a six to twelve month horizon.
No specific ranking, traffic level, conversion rate, or return is guaranteed. Search and advertising platforms are third parties whose behaviour nobody controls. What I commit to is the work, the reporting, and an honest assessment of what is achievable in your competitive set. If a channel cannot be made to work profitably for you, I will recommend stopping it.
9. Payment terms
Projects are invoiced as a deposit plus a balance on delivery. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance. Invoices are payable within seven days. Work may be paused on accounts more than fourteen days overdue, after written notice. Media spend is always paid by you directly to the platforms and never passes through me.
10. Ending an engagement
Retainers run month to month after the initial three-month period, and either side may end them with 30 days' written notice. Cancellation and refund terms are set out in the refund policy. On exit you receive your accounts, dashboards, documentation, and a written handover summary at no additional charge.
11. Complaints
If something is not working, tell me early. Email support@ankitchandra.com and expect a written response within five working days setting out what happened and what I propose to do about it.
